Where is home for you?

“In the ocean! I love the feeling of being in water, it is my element since I was a kid. To have the connection with nature in this way is also so beautiful. I can´t imagine a better place then there :).”

How did you start surfing and where?

“It was in summer on Fuerteventura 3 years ago. My parents come from windsurfing (what I started after surfing as well) and together as a family we wanted to try out a new watersport. We found a very nice and friendly surfschool, Surf Institute, where we started. We still come to Fuerte every year and they are good friends now. When I was standing for the first time on the board, the surffever had seized me and I just wanted more and more.“

What’s your all-time favorite wave/spot?

“Oh there are so many amazing spots in the world. I can`t decide because I think every wave has it`s own magnificent characteristics and uniqueness. Nevertheless I really like the waves in Punta Gorda (and much more in Fuerteventura), Hossegor and Seignosse (France) and Ponta do Sino (Cape Verde).“

What’s something about surfing you wish you knew 10 years ago?

“I would have liked to have known 10 years earlier that this sport existed – haha. Then I could have discovered my passion much earlier 😉.“

What is your number one surfing destination you still need to visit?

“Bali, because I think that I can get to know a completely new culture there. Or Costa Rica, as it has one of the longest left-breaking waves in the world.”

How do you spend your downtime in between surfing?

“I have to go to school of course, but in this time I also go my swim training 4-5 times a week because I`m a professional swimmer since the age of 6. If there is time left I am going to skateparks for surfskating too. When the weather is bad, I also like to spend time on my balance board at home.”

What other boardsports do you do?

“Surfskating, Longboarding, Snowboarding, Windsurfing, Waveboarding and I tried a little bit Skateboarding too.“

Whats your favourite Fastfood?

“I really like pizza and hamburger (but I don`t eat it so often).“

Whats your unique skill?

“Since I `m 5, I am singing in a choir (with which we sometimes have performances or play musicals) and the last 3 years I got singing lessons from a professional vocal trainer too. 2 years ago, I get an Ukulele to christmas. Since then I have taught myself how to play on it (without any lessons). I often sing songs and accompany myself on the ukulele, just for fun, but it is a very important part of my life.”

Best excuse to skip a workout?

“I have to go surfing!“

What KANOA board(s) do you have, whats your favourite KANOA Board and why?

“I have got the “Battery” in size 5`2. And until now it`s my favourite board too because I use it as a riverboard at the citywave (Wellenwerk) in the moment. Normally it is a surfboard for the ocean, so I might be able to use it there in the future. Because of the nice characteristics and the length, it worked very well at the citywave. The Battery is made for quick and vertical manoeuvres, so the standing wave offers perfect conditions to use it there too. I love it.
