HONEY ROOTS TECHNOLOGY

After 4 Years of development we proudly present a worldwide innovation in composite construction.

HRT is a 3D lamination method which uses the highest amount of sustainable materials you can find in a surfboard construction to date. Honey Roots Technology consists of currently 3 construction types: recycled glass and carbonfiber, cotton flocks, upcycled wood and cork in combination with one flax + glass layer, bio resin and a recycled EPS blank.

The technology allows us to precisely design the flex of every board without using any reinforcement or changes in the fiber layup – only like that we can create the unique and most responsive flex pattern that surfers are looking for.

we define flex through geometry.

A bigger honeycomb structure creates a softer flex,

a smaller structure provides more stiffness.

Through varying those parameters we can easily create different flex zones within a board.

At the same time the construction solves every problem of the current EPS/Epoxy constructions. It increases pressure resistance, absorbs vibration and chatter, decreases risk of delamination and will guarantee unique durability and long lasting flex properties.

With the support of two German Universitys, European Innovation Funds, countless hours and sleepless nights, we realized our vision of a breakthrough in surfboard construction.
