Foamy Float Logo

Foamy FLOAT

We designed this light softtop surfboard specifically for standing waves with tight transitions and for heavier riders (70-110kg). With an extra-wide outline and broad tail you easily stay in the wave and the FLOAT is agile enough for quick turns between narrow walls – like Almkanal or Flosslände.

Not sure which river board to choose?

Foamy FLOAT

Riverboard (extra-wide) - weaker spots & heavier riders

The foamy FLOAT is based on our bestseller foamy FLOW built with our durable A\V ST technology but it has a significantly wider outline and broader squash tail. This enables you to surf a very short board, which doesn’t nose dive in tight transitions (like Isarwelle Plattling or Flosslände) and it easily turns in tight spaces (like Almkanal).

The FLOAT can therefore be ridden by river surfers between 70kg up to 110kg. Even in conditions with weaker waves due to lack of water flow it just floats over those flatter sections.

So the big brother of the foamy FLOW is a great choice for beginners due to its durability and stability to quickly improve your river skills. Intermediate riders will love its speed and responsiveness due to the stiffness created through the aluminum stringer. It even allows you to perform your first ollie based manoeuvres.

Please note: Do not use your Foamy when the outside temperature is below 6°C.

Use our “Make it complete” offer for fins and leash and turn your Foamy into a #perfoamy with our reactive river thruster fin sets.

Last but not least: If you are looking for a board to go wake surfing, that’s what the FLOAT was originally built for.

" I have been surfing Flosslände for almost 20 years and since the wave changed so much, we needed to react with a board for heavier riders (>70kgs). When me and others started riding the FLOAT at Flosslände, we never had as much fun and time on that iconic Munich river wave, ever since it's gotten smaller"
