Tough question! I was born and raised in Germany, studied in Austria but now I live in Taiwan and have gotten pretty comfortable with the people, language and waves over here.

WHERE IS HOME FOR YOU?
HOW DID YOU START SURFING AND WHERE?
I really started surfing more regularly after a backpacking trip in south-east Asia
WHAT IS YOUR ALL-TIME FAVORITE WAVE/SPOT?
Anywhere with good friends and not too many people around is a good mix. Taiwan is a great place, there are a lot of different types of waves along the coast. There are so many fun spots, I can’t wait to bring my friends when they come visit.
SOMETHING ABOUT SURFING YOU WISH YOU KNEW 10 YEARS AGO?
How much fun it is! All the surf trips, the people you meet and the places you see
WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE SURFING DESTINATION YOU STILL NEED TO VISIT?
Oh, there’s so many! A very good friend of mine has been in Mexico for a while, so I want to go visit. Also, I’ve never been to Australia and would love to go explore Indo a bit more
HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR DOWNTIME IN BETWEEN SURFING?
There are always waterfalls and hot springs you can go to, when the surf is flat. Also, there are some sick skateparks over here and recently I’ve been trying to get more into fishing.
WHAT OTHER BOARD SPORTS DO YOU DO?
Snowboarding, Skating
YOUR FAVORITE FAST FOOD?
Burritos and shaved ice
YOUR UNIQUE SKILL?
Always find a reason to paddle out!
BEST EXCUSE TO SKIP A WORKOUT?
QUIVER CHOICE
RIDES:
I surfed a Playground in 5.10 for a long time. Super sick board for all conditions, that despite the volume, still creates a lot of speed and feels good when doing turns.
