PU CONSTRUCTION - REIMAGINED
Every PU foam blank starts with the same mixture: a polyol and an isocyanate. What makes Polyola eco foam different is that their two liquids are sourced through recycled materials. The polyol is based on more than 80% recycling poylol coming from packaging out of industry and post. And, 60% of the used isocyanate is made from recycled material. By taking these materials, the environmental impact can be significantly reduced without jeopardizing durability and performance.
ALONG THE EUROPEAN COASTLINES
The sustainability of a product is not only defined by its recycled or biological content but also by the distance of every used material has to travel. Therefore we drastically minimized the CO2 impact of this product by sourcing the components and building it 100% along the coastlines of Europe. It starts with our Eco Blanks coming from Northern Spain, moves along to our Surfactory in Portugal and finally, ends up under your feet.
THE GOLDEN BOARD
We think, sustainability never looked better! The Polyola Eco Foam is based on a sum of 30% reycled PU content and wood components. These boards are made to shred and to be shredded - at the end of their lifetime the eco blanks are fully recyclable. The founder team is therefore working on collection points where old or broken boards can be dropped off and find their way back into the cycle. But still, Polyola excells with its closed cell structure that even a ding during your session can't make you stop surfing. This advantage will prevent water intake and damage to your board. Let's just say, these boards do not just shine with their golden colour but also with a higher pressure stability and less pressure dents.
