No matter if found in nature or artificial static waves, every riverwave has its very own character. Steep, flat, high or low and with a low or high power or water pressure. We want to help you to find the right surfboard for different types of static waves. Because of their narrow walls, kickers, concrete reefs or any other hard surfaces, riverboards need to be extra durable. To make sure you get as much time in the water as possible, we therefore developed our new EPX Board Construction.
RIVER BOARDGUIDE
COUNTLESS DIFFERENT RIVERWAVES BUT WHAT IS THE RIGHT BOARD?
THE EPX RIVER SURFBOARD COLLECTION
The ImpacTec is our answer to that challenging demand. You already know it from our Polyola Surfboards. It's characterized by an interlaminar placed aerospace grade fabric, which acts as a shock absorber and will allow to increase the impact strength significantly. But we don't want to stop there - we are always evolving to find the best way to build lasting boards.
With the latest upgrade of our ImpacTec Construction, it features Kevlar re-inforced fin boxes and aerospace-grade polymer rail fabric, all bonded together with 40% bio epoxy resin. This technology sets our new standard in riverboard durability.

ALL-NEW PRO LINE
The fishy twin of the Creek Pro EPX, designed to upgrade your rail game!
Endless drive and an exceptional hold on the rail make this surfboard the ideal choice for powerful riverwaves and advanced to Pros.
The most performing River Surfboard in the KANOA Quiver.
Thin Rails, a narrow squash tail and the perfect rockerline are exactly what you need to outperform your own expectations.
ARTIFICIAL WAVES AND WAVEPOOLS
Current artificial static waves have rather steep faces with quite high power and pressure. That is why it is possible to surf shorter boards with narrow tail shapes. Also, the rocker can be a bit higher and therefore allow a more ocean-inspired surf approach as well as easier turn initiation.
Examples for artificial waves are the Unit Parktech wave in Langenfeld, Exo38 or the Wakeparadise Milano. Another Wavepool concept is the Citywave, which powers the Jochen Schweizer Arena Munich, RheinRiff in Düsseldorf, Wellenwerk Berlin, Glassy House in France, the Oana Wave in Luzern, Urbansurf in Zurich, Multiplex Citywave Vienna and the Hasewelle in Osnabrück – and even spots in Israel, Moscow, Madrid, Tokyo and Hawaii. City Surf Park in Lyon falls under the same category using a brandnew technology, called Hydrostadium.

THE EISBACH AND OTHER STRONG RIVER WAVES
The mother of all stationary waves! The Eisbach is a rather powerful wave with a unique shape. It requires a slightly wider outline and a lower tail rocker than the artificial waves. Especially as it has some weaker days in summer.
Just lately The Riverwave in Austria, next to the Ebensee, the Fuchslochwelle (Nuremberg), or the Leinewelle (Hannover) opened its doors. The board choice for those waves is comparable to the Eisbach – although when those rapids have some weaker days, bigger boards are more fun.
Go for The Creek EPX as an all-round riverboard, the Swallow Creek Pro EPX and The Creek Pro EPX for advanced riders and Moby Creek EPX for heavier surfers or weaker summer days. Foamy Flow X for all of those who are tired of fixing and want more performance than any other soft board.

LESS POWERFUL RIVER WAVES
Weaker river waves require different shapes for rapid surfing. The riverboard of your choice should have a wide tail, more volume, and a flatter rockerline. While usually shorter, depending on the wave it can also be ridden slightly longer.
With the right surfboard the lower water pressure can be compensated to provide the necessary flow and speed.
The described wave characteristics can be found on the Bremgarten Wave or Thun (in summer) in Switzerland or the E2 in Munich – here we recommend our Fishs. For the Floßlände (Munich), enercity Leinewelle (Hannover), blackforestwave (Pforzheim), Cunovo (Slovakia) or the Almkanal (Salzburg) the Flow X or Float X soft tops are clearly your best choice as a beginner, while FishnChixx and also the EPX Creeks work well for advanced surfers on days when the wave has enough power.

ALL NEW: FOAMY FLOAT X
This light softtop surfboard works specifically well in standing waves with tight transitions and for heavier riders (70-110kg). With short sizes (between 4’8'' and 5’4'') but an extra-wide outline and broad tail you easily stay in the wave, avoid nose dives and the FLOAT X is agile enough for quick turns between narrow walls.
And FYI, the X stands for x-changeable finbox, making it possible for you to choose the fin system you like - FCS, FCS II or FUTURES? Everything is possible. Just follow some simple steps to change it and say goodbye to time consuming repairs after crashing a fin box.
So this is the perfect river board for rapid waves like Flosslaende (Munich), Isarwelle (Plattling), blackforestwave (Pforzheim), Leinewelle (Hannover) or the Almkanal (Salzburg) and several others with similar wave characteristics.
There’s only few boards in stock. Get your’s now!
THE SUSTAINABLE CHOICE
Polyola Eco Blanks and ImpacTec Protection
Surfing and especially river surfing keeps changing just like the tides do everyday. We are always moving forward and in order to reach our goals of sustainable surfboard construction we partnered up with Polyola for an exklusive remake of our Riverboard Classics - The Creek and the Moby Creek. What you see here, is the unique golden colour of a Polyola Eco Blank - made to shred and to be shredded in the end. With this collab we are taking one more step towards eco-responsible practises when it comes to building surfboards.
Don't compromise durability or performance with a sustainable choice.
