SURFING IN A BEACH CLUB
Welcome to RheinRiff in Düsseldorf, your ultimate surf paradise! The spot is located in the Areal Böhler, and easily accessible via S-Bahn from the main station or you get there by bike. You can also park right at the front door. The area offers free WiFi and cold drinks as well, so you can enjoy the atmosphere while working remote between the surf session.
You are new to river surfing? No problem. The beginner courses at RheinRiff are designed to help you make your first steps.
After that you can practise yourself during the open sessions or get an intermediate coaching with video analysis to step up your game.
And don’t miss out on all the other cool things going on there: beach parties, volleyball tournaments, surf fitness or surf skating.

THE WAVE
The RheinRiff wave works on the basis of the proven Citywave technology. It is quite popular in many standing waves. All parameters of it can be adjusted because it is completely artificially generated. Therefore, it’s quite easy to adapt it to the needs and preferences of any surfing skill level.
The beginner courses offer a holding bar attached in front of the wave so you can start your journey slow and safe. But also intermediate coaching with video analysis or powerful contest waves are possible at the RheinRiff. Therefore, the wave is equally suitable for beginners, intermediates, as well as pro’s.
We can highly recommend a coaching session. The coaches will support your surf progress with their know-how. And you don’t necessarily need your own board to surf - you can just rent our Foamys. Just ask nicely. The team will help you. :)
By the way, an open session at the RheinRiff lasts 60 minutes, which gives you enough time to get used to the wave.
" RheinRiff is a powerful wave that imitates ocean surfing at its best. It allows you to push hard into turns and use the rail of your board to create smooth and fast maneuvers.
The wave offers two different levels: basic wave and big wave. As a beginner as well as advanced surfer, you can practice technique and tricks in both levels of the wave.
The Big Wave has a perfect bowl section that gives opportunity for airs, laybacks and carves. The Basic Wave is a little less steep giving surfers of all levels the opportunity to practice their surfing.
