The facility is based on the established Citywave technology and invites sessions for all skill levels.

With the wave, its own restaurant, bar, shaping bay, the only Deus Ex Machina surf store in Germany and a nicely designed event area, the Wellenwerk is a real center of surf culture.

The Wellenwerk is located in the middle of Berlin in the district of Lichtenberg and could not be better accessible. Whether by bike or by S-Bahn. It doesn’t take long to get to Wellenwerk from the city center.

The location itself is a former warehouse of the Berlin waterworks. Instead of building completely new, the location was rebuilt in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way and expanded with a restaurant, bar and reception.

Sustainability is also a clear focus for the Wave itself. It is powered exclusively by CO2-neutral electricity from hydropower and a large part of the energy used is subsequently recovered to heat the location.

In addition to the surf session, you can also expect really good food in the DEUS restaurant or a cool drink in the bar with a view of the wave. Also the numerous events there should not be missed.

The Wellenwerk wave works on the basis of the patented Citywave technology, which is used in many popular standing waves. Since this is completely artificially generated, all parameters of the wave can be adjusted continuously. Thus, the wave can be adapted to the needs of all surfing skill levels.

From beginner session with a holding bar attached in front of the wave to a powerful contest wave, everything is possible at the Wellenwerk. Therefore, the wave is equally suitable for beginners, intermediates, as well as pro’s.
