To choose the correct length of leash, the easiest way is to take the length of your surfboard and round up to the nearest whole number in foot. Note that your leash should be about the same length as your surfboard. Surfing smaller waves allows you to take a leash a little smaller than your board size as well, whereas in bigger waves we'd recommend to choose a longer leash.
