SOÖRUZ RECYCLING PROGRAM

In 2021, Soöruz set up a wetsuit recycling center in France. With over 100 drop-off points, you can leave your used wetsuits at Soöruz retailers or through the website. They’re turned into upcycled products or neoprene granulate. Soöruz also invites other brands to join the program, aiming to cover all of France and Europe.

Oysterprene: Oysterprene is created by Soöruz and used in their flexible and high-performance wetsuits. This innovation involves the substitution of limestone with oyster shell powder. Not only does it offer exceptional performance, but it also contributes to further reducing its environmental impact.

 

Black Diamond: Black Diamond is a windproof, water-repellent, lightweight, and durable outer coating. It replaces the smooth Finemesh neoprene, which had become too rigid over time compared to modern ultraflexible neoprene materials.

 

Storm Dry:  The inner lining features STORM DRY technology, made from recycled polyester. It offers excellent thermal performance and dries faster. This lining does not affect the flexibility of the wetsuit and increases comfort during sessions.

The patented Honey Roots Technology is our approach to redefine today's surfboard construction.

HRT and its three dimensional glassing approach is a worldwide innovation in composite and lightweight construction.

Thanks to the increased mechanical performance of HRT and its unique resin infusion process, we are able to consequently replace conventional materials with sustainable alternatives while increasing the durability and longevity of the surfboard. The construction allows us to finetune the perfect flex pattern and Its lively rebound will last throughout the whole lifetime of the board.

A HRT Surfboard includes the highest amount of sustainable materials used in a surfboard up to date.

Besides the use of 100% recycled closed cell foam core, we use natural fibers, bio resins and recycled fibers. All realized within a production process that consists almost entirely of reusable components.Combined with exceptional board design the result is one of the most sustainable performance surfboards in the line up.

BLANKS

The blank refers to high density polyurethane foam bonded to a plywood stringer, forming the core of every surfboard. Safari Surfboard is one of the few factories in the world, who actually produce their own blanks. This allows control over the quality from the very first step of the manufacturing process. Premium quality blanks with high density foam are the basis to every lively and pressure resistant surfboard. A dense cell structure doesn’t allow the resin to sink in during the glassing process, thus saving weight and ensuring an even laminate. With an additonal white spray after the shaping, the blank is extra UV resistant and will keep its bright white color as long as possible.
